Impervious to Pain
33% would want the genetic mutation that makes people impervious to pain.
Using the data point, we wanted to create an image for both editorial and social that embodied the contradiction
of physical pain and an unawareness of it. The hand is a separate entity being
forced upon the stove, attempting to withdraw itself
while its owner remains unaware. We chose a high contrast, painterly style, with a nod to pulp drama in the composition.
